Description:
In Italian, La Bocca della Verita means "the mouth of truth." This restaurant's founder, Cesare D'Ortenzi, opened his doors two decades ago committed to serving honest, authentic Italian food. Staying true to his vision, today Liz Cinelli D'Ortenzi welcomes guests with the same dedication to serving only the finest traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine. Upon entering, the charm of La Bocca's interior serves as an instant harbinger of delicious things to come. And come they do, in the form of such signature dishes as Gnocchetti ai Formaggi (homemade spinach and potato dumplings), Ravioli Anatra (house-made ravioli stuffed with a duck breast, sage and shallot filling), and Branzino al Sale (whole Mediterranean silver bass encrusted in sea salt). La Bocca is also well-known for its made-from-scratch Gelatos and Sorbettos, as well as the pastry chef's Panna Cotta, Tiramisu and irresistible Chocolate Mousse Cake. The restaurant is further distinguished by its outstanding all-Italian wine list, while the full-service bar features a variety of imported and domestic spirits and beers, along with excellent wines by the glass. What's new at La Bocca? Marvelous Roman-style Pizza al Taglio has been added to the menu, and the restaurant now serves lunch Friday - Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Additionally, check out the Monday - Wednesday Pasta Specials, which come with a house salad for just $9.95. P.S. Group luncheons and private parties are always welcome.
