Chef Savino Recine has "returned back to basics" with Finemondo, an eatery that dazzles with its Italian country kitchen-style dining and comfortable environment. Italian flavors and a refined touch inform everything at this Washington, DC spot -- from the earthy tones of the decor to menu favorites like Ossobuco. The dining room has a cozy air, accented with dark wood and glass panels that set the scene for cozy dinners or special events. Back in the kitchen, Chef Recine and his staff work tirelessly to craft the likes of Ravioli, Fettuccine, Red Snapper al Limone, Scaloppine di Vitello Piccata, and others. With portions for lunch and dinner available, a trip here is always a chance to indulge in fine dining with great wine and equally great company. Just make sure not to miss the homemade desserts, such as Il Tiramisu and Frutti di Bosco. If you have an event or party to plan, Finemondo offers beautifully decorated private and semi-private dining areas in an intimate and comfortable setting that are perfectly suited for all your needs. Even the bar and lounge area is spacious enough to accommodate some special occasions. NOTEWORTHY: Give your weekend a lift with the Saturday Night Special, with every bottle on the wine list available for 25 PERCENT OFF (select wines 50 PERCENT OFF)! Happy Hour Food and Drink Specials run every Monday-Friday from 5-7 p.m. with $5 Black Cherry Cosmos and Apple Cider Martini, plus $3.50 Beers and Wines by the glass.
